What professional development (for students or assessors) is required to use the tool? Free Online Training is available or teachers can attend a 2-day Professional Development Seminar in which the system is provided as part of the Seminar cost.
To use the tool effectively, what else should the school have in place? Schools should have some form of projection device to present the questions. The assessment tool permits paper tests or scannable tests to also be used. It does interface with electronic chalkboards or smart boards.
If you haven't already addressed it, how does your tool help students or teachers demonstrate that they are meeting standards? State standards can be installed from the software CD and each question can be linked to the associated standard. Reports can then be generated by student, class, or subgroup demonstrating performance against the standards. Additionally, many of the available item banks have items already linked to state standards.
What are your next steps in developing or implementing this tool? The tool demonstrated will be the interactive wireless, a version of the response clickers is available in Radio Frequency which permits the student to enter responses from a numeric response pad. Data from the system can be extracted to other data analysis and aggregation tools or gradebooks and course management systems.
