What purpose does your assessment tool serve? 

The Student Learning Through Technology Data Collection System helps guide teachers' action research and reflective teaching projects and captures information about research design, links to state standards, data collection methods, participant information, and outcomes. The Report Builder function in the database allows the user to search action research and reflective teaching projects, aggregate findings by category, identify patterns, and examine supporting documents such as lesson plans, student products, etc.

Administrators, teacher educators (college/university faculty), staff developers, and K-12 teachers.

What technology is used?

The database is in Microsoft Access and the application was written in ColdFusion 5.0.  A web browser is needed to run the application, preferably Internet Explorer 5.0 or better.
